Yummy Pan Pizza Toast

Snack
Written for kids cooking alongside a grown-up, this pan pizza toast needs just bread, butter, tomato sauce, shredded mozzarella and mini pepperoni. Everything happens in one pan over medium-low heat, with no oven involved. Putting a lid on the pan for the 3–5 minutes of cooking is what gets the cheese melted and bubbly while the bottom of the bread turns golden and crisp.
Servings: 2 · Time: 10 min · Difficulty: Easy
- 2 Unit Bread Slices
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
- 2 Tablespoon Tomato Sauce
- 0.5 Cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- 1 Ounce Mini Pepperoni Slices
- First, ask a grown-up to help you get a pan ready! Put a little pat of butter in the pan and let it melt over medium-low heat. This makes the pan nice and warm for our toast!
- Carefully place your yummy bread slices into the warm pan, side by side.
- Now, spread a spoonful of tasty tomato sauce all over each piece of bread, like you're painting a masterpiece! Make sure to cover it all.
- Sprinkle lots of lovely shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce. Make sure every bit is covered with a cheesy blanket!
- Next, arrange your fun mini pepperoni circles (or any other favorite tiny toppings like bell pepper pieces!) on top of the cheese. Make it look super colorful!
- Ask your grown-up to put a lid on the pan. This helps the cheese get super melty and bubbly, like a warm hug for your pizza toast!
- Let your pizza toast cook for about 3-5 minutes, or until the bottom of the bread is golden and crispy, and the cheese is all bubbly and melted. Keep an eye on it with your grown-up so it doesn't get too toasty!
- Carefully take your warm and delicious pizza toast out of the pan. Let it cool just a tiny bit before taking a yummy bite! Enjoy your homemade treat!
